Use Mnem with Apple Shortcuts

Automate your memory: Mnem ships Remember and Recall actions for the Shortcuts app, so anything on your Mac can flow into memory on demand.

Connect

Manual setup — a pasted snippet and about a minute.

  1. Launch the app once

    Open Mnem at least once so macOS registers its Shortcuts actions.

  2. Find the actions

    Open Shortcuts and search for “Mnem” in the actions gallery — you'll see Remember, Recall, and Memory Status.

  3. Build a shortcut

    For example: “Remember clipboard” — take the clipboard contents and pass them to the Remember action. Bind it to a hotkey via Shortcuts settings.

  4. Verify

    Run your shortcut, then ask any connected AI tool to recall what you just stored.

Troubleshooting

If the actions don't appear, launch Mnem once and reopen Shortcuts; macOS indexes app actions on first run. The actions execute entirely on your Mac — nothing is sent anywhere.
